‘Inspiring a better Britain’: how TRO delivered for the inaugural edition of Anthropy with TRACE
72.5%
of all materials were reused or repurposed
69%
of guest, VIP and crew meals were plant-based
45.2%
second life materials were used, and were made of existing / FSC / recyclable materials
TRO collected data from suppliers and The Eden Project to measure Anthropy22’s overall carbon footprint. Templates from TRACE by isla – their chosen carbon measurement platform – were sent to each supplier to complete.

Meet Anthropy22
Anthropy22 convened leading organisations from different sectors across the UK at The Eden Project, Cornwall, with the aim of “empowering leaders to shape the future of Britain”.
The goal
Anthropy22 began with the goal of minimising its environmental impact, with a key focus on the signage and printed materials used for the event.
The solution
Organisers chose to engage with isla member and experiential marketing experts TRO and production supplier Rocket Graphics Ltd. Together, they worked to find signage and print solutions that were made either from second-life materials or could be reused/recycled after the event, using TRACE to assist with measuring the impact of these materials.
The conclusion
From working with TRACE, Anthropy22 showed organisers which areas required the most improvement for the next iteration of the event (to take place in March 2025). Data analysis spurred conclusions including;
– Setting up production timelines and further encouraging collaboration with suppliers
– Scheduling crew meals
– Asking for key audience travel information earlier during the registration process
