We’re delighted to share that TRACE by isla won bronze for Best Technology Provider at the M&IT Awards 2026! It’s a big moment for us. We’re the first sustainability tech platform to win in this category, which says a lot about how the events industry now sees carbon measurement. Our CEO, Anna Abdelnoor, and CMO, Alex Softley, were at Grosvenor House London on Friday 18 September to collect the award, and we’re still grinning about it.

Why this award matters to us

The M&IT Awards are one of the biggest nights in the events calendar, and they’re decided by the industry itself. Finalists and winners are voted for by UK-based event organisers, and the votes are independently verified by the Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC).

That means the people who voted for us are the people planning and running events every day. They picked a carbon measurement platform as one of the best pieces of technology they work with, and we’re really proud of that.

It also reflects a change we’re seeing in the industry. Carbon measurement used to be something event teams did at the end, often in a spreadsheet, once the event was over. More and more, it’s becoming part of how events are planned, from choosing venues and suppliers to deciding how people travel. Being recognised in a technology category alongside platforms event teams use every day tells us that shift is happening.

Congratulations to our fellow winners

We were in brilliant company in this category:

  • Gold: Quadrant Events
  • Silver: CrowdComms
  • Bronze: TRACE by isla

A special shout out to our webinar partners at CrowdComms, and a huge congratulations to Quadrant Events on taking gold. Well done too to Cvent, Encore and RefTech, who made up the rest of a strong shortlist.

A great night out

The ceremony was hosted by comedian Katherine Ryan, who kept the room laughing all evening. It was a chance to celebrate with hundreds of people from across the industry, including plenty of customers, partners and familiar faces.

What’s next for TRACE

This award lands at a good time. This year, we launched the Business Operations side of the platform, so event businesses can now measure their operational emissions alongside their event emissions in one place. It’s the next step in giving the industry a full, credible picture of its footprint.

Thank you

To everyone who took the time to vote for us: thank you. We know how many categories and nominations there are to get through, and we really appreciate it.

Thank you to our customers too, who use TRACE every day and push us to keep improving it. And to the isla team, who built something the industry felt was worth voting for.
